Many stimulating discussions regarding rubber materials, processing, and additives took place. New ideas were exchanged between D.O.G and its partners, and several promising developments are expected to stem from this in the future.
A special highlight in the history of D.O.G's participation at DKT took place on July 2nd. On this day Dr. Tobias Becker, the Head of R&D at D.O.G, presented the latest findings on sustainability related to D.O.G's Factice products. In the well-attended presentation, Dr. Becker discussed the use and properties of Factice as a functional rubber additive, providing insights into the CO2 footprint and biodegradability of Factice. Dr. Becker demonstrated that Factice can have a positive impact on the CO2 footprint of rubber materials. Additionally, a study commissioned by D.O.G revealed a significant biodegradability of Factice, which is a very promising result in light of the microplastics issue.
