The production process for light-colored, neutral-smelling sulfur carriers sounds simpler than it is. The base fluid / rapeseed oil is placed in a reactor, mixed with elemental sulphur and gently heated. The way the process is carried out makes all the difference and ensures the high quality. Gaseous hydrogen sulphide is added under pressure, resulting in a sulphur content of 16-18% in our sulphurized ester. The reactor then still contains gaseous hydrogen sulphide, which is toxic and flammable. The excess gas is fed into the exhaust gas purification system with nitrogen. The final step is quality control before the products are filtered and bottled. At D.O.G, we pay attention to our CO2 footprint for the benefit of all our customers and use rapeseed oils and sulphur raw materials from local (German) production.
